Sanchang Food and CAAS Institute of Crop Sciences Establish Joint Innovation Center for High-Nutrition Whole Grain Research

In December 2025, Sanchang Food signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute of Crop Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to jointly establish a High-Nutrition Whole Grain Innovation and R&D Center. The partnership marks an important step in advancing scientific research, product innovation, and industrial application in the whole-grain food sector.



The joint center will focus on the research and development of high-nutrition whole-grain ingredients and products, with particular emphasis on oats and other grain crops. By combining the Institute’s strengths in crop science research with Sanchang Food’s experience in food processing, quality systems, and industrial-scale manufacturing, the collaboration aims to accelerate the translation of scientific research into commercially viable, health-oriented food products.

As a national leader in crop science research, the Institute of Crop Sciences plays a key role in crop genetics, breeding, nutrition evaluation, and agricultural technology innovation. Through this partnership, both parties will work collaboratively across the value chain—from raw material optimization and processing technology to product formulation and quality evaluation—supporting the development of whole-grain foods with enhanced nutritional value and improved consumer acceptance.



The cooperation framework emphasizes applied research and practical outcomes. Planned initiatives include joint research projects, pilot-scale validation, and the development of standardized processing solutions for whole-grain foods. The objective is to establish an integrated innovation model linking scientific research, product development, and market application.

Sanchang Food will leverage its internationally recognized manufacturing systems, including HACCP, BRC, and FSSC 22000, as well as its experience in OEM and ODM production, to support the industrial implementation of research outcomes. By transforming scientific findings into scalable, high-quality products, the company aims to meet growing global demand for nutritious and responsibly produced foods.
